President's Message
An SFPP Stakeholder Committee was formed in January 2011 to study ways to keep the SFPP secure and affordable well into the future. This CommitteeÕs mandate is to understand the cost drivers of the pension plan, and to find the right balance of sustainable pension benefits and affordable contribution rates.
The Committee includes representatives from Employers and Associations. These employers include the CityÕs of Edmonton, Calgary, Medicine Hat and Lethbridge and the associations are the Alberta Federation of Police Associations, Edmonton and Calgary as well as Special Forces Pension Board members that attend meetings on an as-needed basis, as do representatives from Alberta Finance and Enterprise.
